After trying various teachers, language courses, online courses, books, and apps for almost 5 years in Stockholm I can confidently say that Fredrik’s course is the only one that I have found that works. Some of the methods he is showing in this course are unique and they do make a huge difference. The strategies he is teaching can help you not only learn Swedish in an incredibly effective way, but actually, you can use these strategies to learn other things too.
What I like about the course is that it is perfectly structured to create and maintain daily motivation. It is never boring. Content is varied in such a way that it works at many levels at the same time. The content has some very interesting subjects specifically for people learning a new language. Another huge factor is the sincerity of the teacher. When one is engaged in a language course, one will be listening to the teacher of the course so it is critical to like the voice of the teacher both literally and figuratively. And so in this case Fredrik always sounds genuine and confident.
I have experienced this course as a person who is not a beginner in Swedish however I had huge holes in understanding, vocabulary, and even basic grammar and rules. So obviously the course is not for an absolute beginner but I wish I have known these strategies when I was even a complete beginner. So I would say I recommend it to people from all levels from A2 to C2.
You must also listen to Fredrik’s brilliant podcast (Simple Swedish Podcast), again it is always relevant and interesting. And most certainly follow his Instagram (@swedish.linguist) there is a huge amount of work he is putting out there helping people daily expanding their vocabularies.
Finally, all in all, this course is an incredible value for the money. There is nothing like it out there.
