In this episode I’m talking to my mom about changing careers in a later age. She has changed her career many times, including studying for five years at university in her 40s, as well as starting new studies again now in her 60s. This is very inspiring for me, and I hope it can be for you too! Don’t forget to download the transcript and word list here below and check out the tips for how to use this podcast in your studies:)

You can also find the podcast on iTunes and Spotify, as well as the PodBean app! If you find it useful and want to support me, please consider subscribing to it:) Here below I will share how to use this podcast efficiently in your Swedish studies:

  1. Listen to the episode and try to understand as much as possible.
  2. Go through the text and translate the words you don’t understand, until you understand most of the text.
  3. Listen to the audio while reading the text. Pause if you need to.
  4. Now listen to the audio without the text. Pause/rewind if you need to. Get back to it in a few days again.

And here are some bonus tips:

  1. Remember the Pareto Principle. 80% of your progress comes from 20% of your effort. Don’t aim to get 100%, 80-90 is better if you want to be efficient 🙂
  2. Listen to podcasts whenever you’re on your way somewhere, cooking, washing dishes, standing in line, traveling, or any other time you can’t sit down to study, but you can use your ears.
